I created my first website - a homage to the oft-overlooked Cheltenham Town Football Club - in 1998, a lifetime ago in internet terms. This created a spark which ignited a love of the 'net and its opportunities.

Over time I realised that the internet wasn't the be-all and end-all of marketing. It's just another tool in the box. To be truly effective at promoting a business, you have to consider all possibilities. This might include direct mail, telemarketing, or advertising (don't believe anyone who tells you that advertising doesn't work. It does. Bad advertising is what doesn't work).

This led me to spend hours, days, weeks and months researching different types of marketing. I read books that were written nearly a century ago, whose ideas are still relevant, still profitable. Other books were written just a few months ago. I consume information on marketing so that I can pass it on to you in the form of highly effective and profitable websites, direct mail, adverts and other marketing literature.
